
I had just finished shopping when I felt
two thin arms reached around my waist with a big hug. "Hello, Mrs. Shover," Mariska
smiled.
"How are you this second week of school holiday? Bored after
last week's Vacation Bible School?" I asked.
"Yes," she smiled again.
"I'll see you at Bible Club in two weeks," I
told her as I hugged her back. This happens to me frequently.

Mathetes Baptist Bible College (MBBC) of Ghana celebrated its
first graduation on May 22, 1999. The school was started by ABWE
missionary Robert Dyer in 1993 to train Ghanaian men to lead their
churches. ABWE missionaries came to Ghana to serve Ghanaians, but
the Lord is also allowing them to build lives for serving and rebuilding
in other West African nations. Jerome Siakor, a Liberian, his wife,
and three small boys fled Liberia when civil war tore their homeland
apart.

Each year the city of Vellmar holds a spring
trade fair, an opportunity for businesses to show their products.
We were invited to have
a booth and make ourselves known in the community. Our theme was: "The
Bible Through the Ages: From Gutenberg to Gates." With a working
replica of the Gutenberg press, a computer, and a Bible display,
we showed how the distribution of the Bible has been greatly enhanced
through technology. Hundreds of people visited the booth. They
were able to print John 3:16 on the press and enjoy a cup of coffee.
