Rotunda Mural Completion

After nearly four years, the mural in the rotunda at ABWE's International Administration and Training Center is now complete. Local artist Linda Luke donated her skills to create the 98-foot-long circular painting. Every continent is represented in the seven-foot-high sloped "canvas" Linda worked on in her spare time. Many of the scenes were copied from photos Linda was given by Ruth Kempton, depicting the peoples, cultures, and key works of ABWE fields around the world. Linda added final touches in the spring, and a public dedication of the artwork was held in May, an event carried by local TV stations and newspapers.

In the late fall of 2000, the rotunda painting was finished when a local sign painter added portions of Matthew 28:19 and Mark 16:15 in large gold letters against a backdrop of ABWE's corporate green color.

The artwork and scripture, located in the central court of ABWE's main floor, reminds staff members and visitors alike of our purpose: making disciples of all nations, and preaching the gospel throughout the entire world.
