"My Home for Missions"
By Spencer W. Jackson
Mary Brown faced a dilemma. She and her husband Fred had always
been faithful in their giving to world missions. When Fred died,
she was confronted by many life-changing decisions, not the least
of which was her giving to the Lord's work. Continuing to live and
give in an uncertain world was challenging. She wanted to continue
giving to ABWE, but with her reduced income, a significant gift
seemed impossible.
During this time, Mrs. Brown learned about a wonderful plan called
a Life Estate Arrangement. This plan would allow Mrs. Brown to donate
her home to ABWE, while retaining the right to live in it for the
rest of her life. After irrevocably deeding her home to ABWE, she
would receive an income tax deduction, subject to IRS limitations.
Mrs. Brown found great joy and satisfaction in knowing that after
she died, the gift of her home would greatly advance world missions.
Though she lived in uncertain times, she was certain of the gift
to ABWE at her death.
If you are like Mrs. Brown and desire to make a significant gift
despite your uncertain circumstances, you may wish to learn more
about ABWE's Life Estate Arrangement plan. This arrangement also
works with vacation homes or farms. For more information, contact
