The Candidate Seminar of 2003 was the largest in ABWE's history.
Of the 89 people who attended the seminar, 65 were appointed to
career service. ABWE is deeply grateful for the way God continues
to bless us with new missionaries.
Have you ever wondered what Candidate Seminar really is and how
it works? Read the special feature for a "Behind the Scenes" look
at the questions candidates ask as they enter the seminar, the kinds
of training they receive, and the way they decide on their field.
In our print magazine, Jeff Raymond's photographs catch candidates
on the brink of big decisions, delighting in fellowship, and praying
for direction.
This year, we have decided to reduce the amount of space devoted
in testimonies to the candidates' salvation stories, and focus instead
on the ways God called them to missions. More than ever, people
of every age, interest, and skills are being drawn to missions,
and it is remarkable to observe the sheer variety of routes they
have taken in arriving at ABWE.
God has designed a place for each person in His plan for missions.
Candidate Seminar is a time when many candidates are endeavoring
to discover that design, to see how God has used all their experience
as "drafts" for the next great stage of their lives.
We hope you will be blessed by the testimonies in these pages.
