Planned Giving Ministries: May All Who Come Behind Us Find Us
Faithful
By Spence Jackson, Director of Planned Giving Ministries
The Psalmist expressed His desire to show God’s power unto the
next generation (Ps 71:18). There are many ways we impact those
coming behind us.
By Instruction
When it comes to finances, parents bear a responsibility to teach
their children how to manage money. This involves not only saving,
but giving to their local church and to those in need. Tell them
how God has helped in meeting your needs.
By Example
There is no better teacher than the example we live before our
children. Do they see a materialistic lifestyle? Do they know that
we give on a consistent basis to our local church? Are they impressed
by the fact that we manage our money well? Do they know of our dependence
upon a heavenly Father for all that we have? Do they know of our
interest in world missions?
By Inheritance
When we have not only managed well, but have also planned well,
the next generation is benefited. This serves as a teaching tool
after we are gone. It’s an encouragement for them to do the same.
By A Revocable Trust
Along with a properly drawn will, maybe you should investigate
how this could help you manage and distribute your assets. ABWE
has designed and managed trusts for over 30 years.
By A Gift Annuity
Good planning can enable giving to world missions and also receiving
an excellent guaranteed lifetime income, currently at 6% - 11%.
What a responsibility, teaching the next generation about stewardship
by what we model and what we do. ABWE Planned Giving Ministries
Department is committed to help you in these matters.
