Children’s Corner

Hey, Kids!

Did you know that you can give to help missionaries and other people around the world? Maybe you think that only adults who have jobs and make money can give to the Lord for missions, but you can too. Here are ways you can give:

  1. Do you get an allowance? Talk with your parents and ask them to help you set aside a certain amount each week for the Lord. When you give it in the offering at church, you help your church send missionaries. Ten percent is a good place to start, and then ask God to help you learn to give more. You’ll find out how God blesses you as you learn to give with a cheerful heart.
  2. You can also give your time to the Lord. You could write letters or emails to MKs (Missionary Kids) and be a friend to someone who lives far away. You can tell them about school or special events at church. Remember that you can use your time to pray for missionary families, too.
  3. Here’s another idea—when you get a kid’s meal at McDonald’s or Burger King, save the toy to send to a missionary for their children’s ministries. You know how much you like to open a new toy? Try to keep the toy in its original bag so a boy or girl somewhere else can open it and have a new toy to play with.

Remember, “God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7)!
