2006 Candidate Class
On the first day of Candidate Seminar, the training room was filled with the largest class to ever join ABWE for full-time missionary service. There was bustle and excitement in the air as these candidates packed into the room and found their seats. They came from all across the United States and Canada, from different professions and stages of life. But what united them all was their confident answer to the call of God on their lives for missions.
“How did God lead you into missions?" This was the question that each person had to answer in front of the class. Their stories were amazing testimonies to God’s sovereignty as over and over again they testified of God proving Himself to be faithful. Each one expressed a desire to be used as a living sacrifice to take the gospel to the ends of the earth.
Over the next two weeks of Candidate Seminar, they would have a lot of information to absorb, many meetings and interviews to attend, and hefty decisions to make. But this first day was a sweet time of praise as the candidates gave glory to God for His leading and proclaimed that they place their futures in His hands.
At the end of the seminar, all of the candidates were approved by the ABWE Board to be sent out by their local churches as missionaries with ABWE. Be blessed as your read their testimonies and pray for them as they prepare for the foreign mission field.Profile of the Class
