Use your fingers to help you pray for missions.

Thumb

When you hold out your hand, your thumb is closest to you. Your thumb reminds you to pray for those missionaries closest to you and those whom your church supports. They are the easiest ones to remember.

Index or pointing finger

Your pointing finger reminds you to pray for missionaries who teach, instruct, and heal. They include teachers, doctors, and evangelists. They need support and wisdom for pointing others in the right direction.

Middle finger

Your tallest finger reminds you of your church leaders. Pray for those who supervise and direct missionary outreach. You can never pray too much for them.

Ring finger

The ring finger is your weakest finger (as any piano teacher will tell you). This weak finger reminds you to pray for those missionaries who are discouraged, in trouble, or in pain.

Little finger

Your little finger is the smallest finger of all. It reminds you of places in the world where there are hardly any Christians. People in these parts of the world have little opportunity to hear about Jesus. Pray that more missionaries will be sent to tell them the Good News.
